Cogs and Cobwebs

In 2002 this site started off as my own personal website cci.cx / climate change incorporated. When I started up Hades in May 2005 I needed somewhere to advertise the club, put up photographs, playlist details and other stuff as it came along. Hades started off as a sub site of cci.cx.

In September 2005 the Hades DJs at the time (Analogue, Kitty and myself) decided to start up a couple of spin-off nights called Klangspiel and Hades Alt 80s. When trying to add these to my home pages it became clear that the website needed a complete overhaul and things were starting to look very messy :) Still with the intention to do stuff with cci.cx I left that as the main page, but the other events were more obvious in the tabbed layout and were no longer hidden beneath links.

In 2006 we finally decided that the clubs should have a domain name that had some sort of bearing to them. We needed a name that reflected the mixed variety of music played at Hades, Klangspiel and Hades Alt 80s. That was when we came up with Cogs and Cobwebs as an umberela name for the site. cogsandcobwebs.co.uk and later cogsandcobwebs.com were acquired.
